This David Schafer is used often. I bet he is next in line for GB position. He was the one that gave a talk in Plant City, Florida last year and gave out real people's name as Apostates (The men overthrown by Rutherford and Franz). He also mentioned the various splinter groups that formed. Then he caught his mistake and warned all not to google these people's names and organizations. lol -

I had three Elders show up unannounced last year at the hospital thanks to my mom. I went into the emergency room and my mother told them my religion was JW. I haven't been in a kingdom hall for nearly 15 years, including memorials. Well the next day I had three separate visits by 3 different Elders to discuss the blood issue with me. I was like WTF?
I was so pissed off at my mom. lol

i have a real difficult time with a person marrying someone over ten years difference in age
. for one thing 20 years to me borderlines on perverted, pedifile ,behavior, cradle robbing, ect. and a female who goes after such an older man is not only mentally unbalanced to me, they have daddy issues. or caretaker issues.lol its just weird. i mean your 40 going after your daughters 20 yr old freind, ew . sorry. Are you still a JW? From your judgmental attitude and your pseudoscience analysis sure sounds like it.
Marriages can be based on culture and needs. I know several older American and Aussie men that marry young Filipinas because of their caring nature. Recently one of these men died and his young wife was so sad, and missed him dearly. Their marriage was legal, and not a case of pedophilia.

He has an undergraduate degree. A BS in chemical engineering is an entry level degree. Additionally, it doesn't make him an expert in the field of fossilization. I don't discredit his intelligence, but hardly hold him as an expert in evolution or biology.
Lastly, he is very bias, which is evident in his publications.

I left in the 90's and marriage partners were similar in age at my former congregation. I ran into a former JW friend from my childhood. I haven't seen him in 15 years. He mentioned his niece was married a few years ago. His niece was 24 years old at the time and her JW husband was 50. I asked how that happened and he responded the JW recently left Bethel and was an Elder, and Elders from his new congregation stated they knew a young pretty single sister. My former friends niece father was an elder also. Is there that much of a shortage of young men in the congregations?
I don't really have issue with age differences, but just curious if that was common within JW land.

Faithful and Discrete Slave Apostate Stew – BQA, Watchtower May 2015 (Part I)
by Nicola.threeangelsmessage ini was curious to know what stew was brewing in the faithful and discrete slaves apostate kitchen.
where better to find out than the watchtower scullery.
i opened the watchtower, may 2015 pot, and was immediately hit with the stench of deception and false-doctrine which almost completely knocked me out.

The biblical evidence and Paul’s motives behind making the statement he did in Acts 24:15 clearly demonstrate that the WBTS has once again gone and perverted Scripture to promote its false doctrine.
So, your God murders men, women, and children, that through no choice of their own, never had a chance to know him? In fact they get to burn for all eternity.
I prefer JW's God to your version. At least they leave the potential for billions of people to be resurrected. You kill off 99.9% of all humans that lived.

I did, but then I was six years old at the time of my indoctrination. I had a lot of questions for the Elders in regards to the above questions. I asked them will their be an angel assigned to every human to save us from accidents? There are so many ways to die and illness is just one of many. My child's mind couldn't understand how we wouldn't die from natural disasters, deadly microbes, and interstellar threats. -

ATL Teachers Sentenced to Prison in Cheating Scandal: Can the same charges be used against leaders of the WTBTS?
by Wild_Thing infirst of all, i stand in support of the teachers ... sort of.
this system of over testing in america, connecting test scores to monetary rewards or punishments, and threatening teachers with their job over test scores is directly to blame for the environment created where teachers and administrators felt pressure to cheat.
but at the same time, they lost their integrity and cheated.

I agree with you about majority of teachers wanting to have a positive impact on children, but none of these convicted teachers will serve 20 years in prison. Two of them will spend 7 years in prison. I feel anything more than two years is harsh. The judge would have been much more lenient if the remaining teachers would of taken responsibility.
My father was a teacher for 28 years, and a Superintendent for 16 years. Each county and state are different in how Superintendents are selected, but for my father it was an elected position. I as a voter, father of a child, would have no qualms if my father was sentenced to prison if he did as these so call educators did.
The justification that their jobs are hard, low paying, and the testing is unfair is no excuse for what they did. Could we not argue that in most lines of work cheating would make our jobs easier? For example, I was over food compliance at my former employment, and I had multiple check lists that I had to complete daily. Imagine if I just checked the box, but I never performed the task. If your child got sick from listeria, I'm sure you would want me held accountable.
Standardize testing is very important for children to master. The reason being is it surely will be required if they want to pursue higher education in America. To enter college I had to take the SAT. I wanted to take a few courses towards a MBA degree, and was required to take the GMAT. Just to get into nursing school I had to take the TEAS and HESI nursing entrance exams. Since I have degrees, but not in education, I can still teach, but am require to pass the FTCE/FELE.
